OH Medical are recruiting for a Lead Occupational Health Advisor this exciting opportunity will see you join the established remote based team of a leading Occupational Health Provider in a Full-Time permanent role.
The Remit:
As the Lead Occupational Health Advisor in this role you will provide a first class Occupational Health Service to a rail contract. Your duties will include:
Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the health and wellbeing trends across the business function, providing tailored recommendations to underpin local health and wellbeing strategic plans.
Develop effective working relationships with Regional, Route and HR Directors, Health & Safety Managers, and other Senior Managers.
Management of clinical escalations to successful resolution.
Develop and implement a local absence reduction plan including periodic case reviews to support the progression of complex cases.
Delivery of proactive initiatives including training to support local managers
Share best practice and lessons learned with peers and the central contract team.
Oversee clinical delivery performance locally in line with the overarching quality plan, deploying local support and service initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
Review of case outcomes to close activity with accuracy.
Review of protocols, procedures and processes; updating to bring into alignment with company standards and commonly recognised best practise.
Working with Clinical Governance Committee in agreeing and signing off new clinical protocols and procedures
Contributing to the design and updating of the audit regime helping ensure that it always remains fit for purpose.
Auditing clinician work and support managing performance where required.
Conducting audits of all clinical grades both against clinical standards and Customer Charter – and, client specific additional requirements when required.
Dealing with regular queries on a reactive ‘helpline’ basis –
Partaking in workshops aiming at improving overall processes
Supporting our Client Service Managers and Associate Director in the field with specific client queries, concerns and meetings.
Helping train staff into newer ways of working.
Required
NMC Registered Nurse
Diploma or degree in Occupational Health (Preferred)
Previous experience working as a Lead OHA or similar
Previous experience in the Rail Industry
Can work confidently and independently whist operating within a team framework (Essential)
Demonstrate good IT literacy (Essential)
Full UK driving license (Essential)
