Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria | Full Time | £38,000 - £42,000 (Experienced) | £32,000 (Newly Qualified Graduate Programme)
OH Medical is delighted to be recruiting for an MSK Physiotherapist to join a leading Occupational Health provider delivering high-quality workplace health and wellbeing services across the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist or a newly qualified Physiotherapist looking to specialise in Occupational Health through a structured graduate training programme. Based on-site in Barrow-in-Furness, you'll play a key role in helping employees recover from injury, improve musculoskeletal health and remain fit for work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary Occupational Health team.

The Role
As an MSK Physiotherapist, you will provide expert assessment, diagnosis and treatment for employees presenting with musculoskeletal conditions. Working closely with Occupational Health professionals, you'll support rehabilitation, advise on workplace adjustments and help reduce sickness absence through effective clinical intervention.
This varied role combines hands-on physiotherapy, ergonomic advice, health promotion and occupational rehabilitation within a busy client site.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive musculoskeletal assessments, diagnosis and treatment
Develop and deliver evidence-based rehabilitation programmes
Support employees with both work-related and non-work-related MSK conditions
Produce clear clinical records and treatment documentation
Prepare fitness for work reports and recommend appropriate workplace adjustments
Undertake Display Screen Equipment (DSE) assessments (training provided)
Classify musculoskeletal conditions in relation to workplace factors
Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary Occupational Health team
Deliver workplace health promotion initiatives
Collect clinical data and statistics to support service reporting
Physiotherapist Requirements
Essential
BSc or MSc in Physiotherapy
HCPC Registered Physiotherapist
Ideally at least two years' experience within Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, although newly qualified Physiotherapists with an interest in Occupational Health are encouraged to apply
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong IT skills
Ability to work independently and manage your own caseload
Well organised with excellent time management skills
Full UK driving licence preferred due to the client location
Desirable
Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) membership
ACPOHE membership
Knowledge of workplace ergonomics
Experience completing fitness for work assessments or Occupational Health Physiotherapy
Working Hours
37.5 hours per week
Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:45pm
Friday: 8:00am – 12:30pm

Fully site-based in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria
Salary & Benefits
Experienced Physiotherapists: £38,000 - £42,000 depending on experience
Newly Qualified Physiotherapists: £32,000 with salary progression following successful completion of the graduate training programme
