​OH Medical is currently seeking an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join our well-established and respected client in Plymouth. This can be either a full-time or part-time role depending on the candidate's preference. You will be required to work a minimum of 3 days a week onsite with the option to work an extra 2 days a week from home.

Working Hours: 8:30AM - 16:30PM

Location: Plymouth

 Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • To work remotely and as part of the OH team, including administrative and screening staff, Occupational Health Physician and Clinical Performance Manager

  • To take responsibility for the day-to-day clinical delivery of the service through the provision of:

    • Sickness absence case management

    • Health surveillance

    • Health Promotion

    • Pre-employment clearance

    • Immunisation and needle-stick advice as required.

  • To contribute to the strategic development and implementation of the Occupational Health department aims and objectives

  • Effectively input and recall data using the management database system (eOPAS)

  • Assist with recruitment within the Occupational Health Team wherever appropriate

 Person Specification

  • Registered General Nurse

  • Qualification in Occupational Health at diploma or degree level

  • Computer literate

  • Experience of working with Word, Excel, Outlook and a software OH management system

  • Minimum of two years’ experience within an occupational health environment

  • Experience of delivering Occupational Health services to a variety of business sectors

  • Good working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation

  • Experience of delivering case management to customers using a biopsychosocial assessment model

  • Good oral, written and presentation skills
