Occupational Health Advisor – In-House OH Department (12-Month FTC)
Salary: Circa £50,000 (or hourly rate equivalent, depending on experience)
Location: Stevenage – onsite 3 days per week (Tuesday – Thursday) with hybrid flexibility (3–5 days onsite depending on workload)
Contract: 12-month Fixed Term Contract (part-time applicants also considered)
The Opportunity
OH Medical are delighted to be supporting our client, an in-house Occupational Health department, with the recruitment of a 12-month Fixed Term Occupational Health Advisor in Stevenage. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and proactive OH & Wellbeing team that is dedicated to protecting and promoting the health of all employees.
The role offers variety, development and the chance to make a real impact on both physical and psychological wellbeing across the workforce.
Key Responsibilities
As an Occupational Health Advisor, you will:
Deliver a proactive, high-quality OH service including health screening, health surveillance and case management.
Support and advise managers, HR and safety colleagues with expert OH knowledge.
Contribute to wellbeing strategy and initiatives, including delivering training and health promotion activities.
Carry out wellness medicals and lifestyle assessments, offering advice and guidance.
Provide clear, evidence-based case management reports.
Support the development of OH Technicians and contribute to continuous service improvement.
Lead or participate in OH projects, ensuring service delivery remains compliant and aligned with best practice.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic individual with a real passion for Occupational Health. The ideal candidate will have:
Essential: NMC RN (Part 1) registration.
Essential: Significant experience in delivering a full remit of Occupational Health services.
Desirable: SCPHN (OH) registration (Part 3).
Strong clinical knowledge and experience in health surveillance, case management, lifestyle screening, pre-placement assessments and triage.
Excellent communication, organisational and IT skills.
Experience in supporting wellbeing strategies and delivering initiatives across a business.
The ability to build strong working relationships, influence effectively and work well within a team environment.
