OH Medical is currently seeking an Occupational Health Advisor to join our well-established client on their site located in London on a part-time, permanent basis.​ You will be required to work 2 days (15 hours) per week between the hours of 9:00am – 5:00pm on Tuesday and Thursday.

The role breakdown is 70% Case Management and 30% Preplacement Questionnaire Screening. Other duties include:

  • Case Management relating to attendance and fitness for work

  • Provide evidence-based written reports

  • To evaluate the results of medicals and surveillance provided, and ensure that the correct advice in relation to fitness is communicated, escalating where clinically appropriate

  • Health promotion

  • To provide clinical supervision and support other team members such as OH Technicians.

  • You should be proficient in the provision of:

    • General Medicals

    • Case Management

    • Fitness for work assessment

 

Salary & Benefits

Essential Skills

  • Registration with NMC Part 1

  • Case Management and provision of OH advice

  • General Medicals

  • Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health Degree/Diploma

  • Meticulous written skills and attention to detail

  • Ensuring safe practice

  • IT literate

  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and employment legislation

  • Visible commitment to excellence in practice

  • Self-motivated with an ability to work independently and also as part of a team

Desired Skills

  • Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health Degree/Diploma recorded on Part 3 of the NMC register

  • MSc qualification in OH related field

  • Advanced IT skills

  • Knowledge of OH service delivery in a wide range of settings

  • Practice Teaching/Mentoring of OH students

  • Management of OH teams

  • Administration of vaccinations and travel health services
