Working Pattern: Part-time (3 days per week)

Salary: Up to £44,000 FTE (pro-rata)

OH Medical is recruiting an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join a forward-thinking Occupational Health provider supporting a research and development site in Port Sunlight.

This Occupational Health Advisor role offers a balance of clinical practice and case management within a structured, supportive service. The successful Occupational Health Advisor will deliver a high-quality occupational health service focused on prevention, early intervention and practical workplace solutions.

Occupational Health Advisor Duties

The Occupational Health Advisor will be responsible for delivering a full occupational health service including:

  • Occupational health case management and return-to-work advice

  • Fitness for work medicals

  • Health surveillance programmes

  • Vaccinations and immunisations

  • Phlebotomy

  • Questionnaire screening and medical assessments

  • Workplace health promotion activities

  • Providing occupational health advice to managers and employees

  • Supporting absence management processes

  • Maintaining accurate clinical records and confidential data

  • Contributing to service improvements and employee wellbeing initiatives

  • The Occupational Health Advisor will work autonomously while also collaborating with a multidisciplinary occupational health team.

Occupational Health Advisor Requirements

To be considered for this Occupational Health Advisor position, you will need:

  • Registered Nurse with active NMC registration

  • Occupational Health qualification or demonstrable Occupational Health experience

  • Experience delivering health surveillance and fitness for work assessments

  • Competence in vaccinations and phlebotomy

  • Experience managing complex occupational health case management referrals

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • Ability to work within clinical governance and professional standards

  • Experience within a corporate or commercial Occupational Health environment is desirable but not essential for the right Occupational Health Advisor.
