OH Medical is seeking an Occupational Health Nurse to join one of the UK’s leading providers of occupational health services. To cover maternity leave in a Full-time role as part of an established Occupational Health team in Preston / Blackburn area.
The Remit:
This role will provide a full Occupational Health and Emergency Treatment Service including consultation, clinical assessment & treatment, advice, education, medical assessments. Your duties will include:
Acting as a mentor to Occupational Health Technicians.
Fitness to work assessments
Contact GP/Specialists in line with the Access to Medical Reports Act and Data Protection Act.
Provide health surveillance in accordance with current legislation and In line with DHC policies and guidelines.
Provide clinical support to the first aid provision on site.
Promotion of health and wellbeing.
Risk assessments and DSE assessments
Drug and alcohol testing
Accurate record keeping and maintaining accurate statistics.
Skills Required
Be a registered nurse with NMC Part 1 (Essential) Part 3 (Desirable)
Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health Degree/Diploma (Desirable)
Health Surveillance experience (Essential)
Administration of vaccinations and travel health services (Desirable)
Be able to prioritise and manage their time effectively (Essential)
Can work confidently and independently whist operating within a team framework (Essential)
Demonstrate good IT literacy (Essential)
Full Driving License (Essential)
