OH Medical is seeking an Occupational Health Advisor to deliver a comprehensive occupational health service within an inhouse Occupational Health and Wellbeing Team near Southampton.


The Remit

  • Determining the fitness of employees to undertake their role, through assessments and providing clinical feed-back and advice to managers.

  • Support and manage own case load including the rehabilitation of employees back to work.

  • Manage allocated clinics and resources to ensure an effect delivery of OH services 

  • Conduct DSE assessments and advise on any necessary adjustments.

  •  Prepare and maintain accurate occupational health records

  • Provide health information as required to staff/managers

    to assist in making informed decisions about health and wellbeing improvements.

  • Travel to clinics across Hampshire including Isle of Wight



Skills Required

  • Be a registered nurse with NMC Part 1 (Essential) Part 3 (Desirable)

  • Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health Degree/Diploma (Essential)

  • Be able to prioritise and manage their time effectively (Essential)

  • Can work confidently and independently whist operating within a team environment (Essential)

  • Demonstrate good IT literacy (Essential)

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an occupational health setting

  • Experience of writing policies, SOPs and guidance notes (Essential)
