OH Medical are recruiting an experienced Occupational Health and Wellbeing Lead Nurse for an onsite role in Nottingham. This full-time permanent position will see you working for an in-house team within the public sector.
The Remit
This fantastic opportunity will see be accountable for the efficient and effective operational management of the team, guaranteeing provision of high-quality evidence based practice is delivered. Promote, maintain and improve the physical and psychological well-being of all employees. Leading by example you will develop and drive up standards of clinical care and have the authority to get the essential components right ensuring effective systems are in place within the OH Services for the planning of workflow, audit and reporting mechanisms. Acting as the lead for Occupational Health and Wellbeing requirements for strategic and system information.
Your duties will include:
Provide strong, visible, clinical leadership
Lead on the development of new clinical policies and procedures within the OH service
Ensure all staff take responsibility for health and safety and cleanliness in the work environment
Provide specialist advice to clients, managers, partners and employers
Facilitate the effective and efficient use of budgets monitoring the financial performance of services.
Contribute to annual planning and local service delivery plans
Be the clinical lead for the departments, IT system and external accreditation
Work in partnership to monitor and maintain activity levels in line with contracts, managing capacity and blocks within service delivery
Ensure there is a clear process in place to support staff appraisals, mandatory training and ongoing development across the clinical area.
Work with the regional Occupational Health network to devise and implement systems that promote the dissemination and sharing of evidence based development which enhances the application of knowledge and skill thereby improving the quality of care.
Lead the services audit and client feedback programme, undertaking and supporting others in internal and external audits as part of service development and improvement. Lead and implement changes as a result to improve practice and service provision
Resolve problems for contractors and service users
Provide guidance, support and expertise in relation to First Aid and Sharps injuries/management policies.
Provide expert leadership and represent the OH Service at a local, regional and national level
Ensure that the teams appraisals and mandatory training are completed to the required timescales.
Promote a culture where staff feel empowered and accountable for the service they provide
Participate in the delivery of training programmes for staff and managers.
Empower nurses to take on a wider range of clinical tasks in support of timely patient interventions, ensuring relevant competencies achieved.
Skill Requirements
NMC Registered Nurse - Essential
Qualified to Degree or Diploma Level in Occupational Health - Preferred
Experienced Lead Occupational Health and Wellbeing Nurse
Previous public sector experience - Essential
Experience of Developing Policy & Procedures – Essential
Auditing experience – Essential
Good IT Skills - Essential
