OH Medical has a rare and unique in house Occupational Health role available. We are seeking full time Occupational Health Nurse / Advisor. The salary is up to £45k + £4k car allowance + Excellent Benefits.  

This role will involve home based working, 1 day a week based in Birmingham, travel between North London and the Midlands. Occasional overnight stays may be required. 

The Remit:

• Undertake health surveillance activity, including spirometry, audiometry, hand arm vibration and other health assessments such as safety critical work, based upon health risk assessment.

• Advise employees of any areas of concern and appropriate health protection measures

• Liaise with key personnel on site during the health surveillance programme reporting any problems/ specific concerns that arise whilst onsite.

• Ensure appropriate and timely referral to GP/Occupational Health Physician

• Complete Night-worker and Lone-worker assessments via paper-screen and also by phone if further assessment/explanation is required

• Provide support and guidance to the Occupational Health Technicians

Health and Wellbeing

• Support the OH Manager and Comms in the generation of statistical information

• Take an active role in the planning and implementation of the Group Health and Wellbeing Plan.

• Deliver onsite health and wellbeing campaigns 

• Provide support and guidance to the Occupational Health Technicians

Initial Health Assessments

• To assess current/prospective employees fitness to work via paper-screen and then by phone if required, and make recommendations accordingly

• Provide support and guidance to the Occupational Health Technicians
