Hybrid OH Nurse Manager

OH Medical is partnering with a leading Occupational Health Provider who is currently seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality Occupational Health services for one of their key clients. This hybrid role will involve both remote working and travel to the client’s Oxford-based site and other locations as required.

The Role:

As Nurse Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day clinical operations and manage a team of Occupational Health Advisors, Nurses, and Technicians. You will ensure service delivery is safe, compliant and aligned with clinical and industry best practices, while promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. This hands-on leadership position will include:

  • Leading and managing the clinical team, including OHAs, Nurses, and Technicians.

  • Acting as a key point of contact for the client, providing expert clinical support and case management guidance.

  • Supporting recruitment activity for nursing teams and onboarding new staff.

  • Ensuring delivery of all OH services in line with contractual requirements and service level agreements.

  • Conducting regular audits, clinical supervision and peer reviews to maintain governance standards.

  • Planning and delivering health promotion activities, including seasonal flu campaigns.

  • Responding to and resolving service-related queries and complaints.

  • Liaising with additional service teams (e.g., physiotherapy, counselling, EAP) to ensure seamless client support.

  • Identifying and implementing service improvements and supporting the development of additional OH products.

Main Objectives:

  • Practice within the NMC Code of Conduct and within the scope of your qualifications and experience.

  • Ensure high standards of clinical delivery and adherence to company policies and procedures.

  • Fully utilise IT systems in the performance of duties.

  • Undertake health surveillance, medicals, and health promotion activities.

  • Maintain and store medical records in line with GDPR and company data protection policies.

  • Attend sickness absence and client review meetings when required.

  • Maintain supervision records and participate in scheduled clinical audits.

  • Support the ongoing professional development of the clinical team.

Requirements for this Role:

To be the successful OH Nurse Manager candidate for this role, you'll:

  • Be an NMC registered Nurse and hold an Occupational Health degree/diploma (essential).

  • Trained and experienced in delivering all core Occupational Health services.

  • Proven experience in complex case management and report writing.

  • Previous people management and leadership experience (desirable).

  • Demonstrable experience in an Occupational Health setting, preferably within the private sector.

  • Experience in tender support and client presentations would be beneficial.

  • Full UK driving licence (essential).
