​OH Medical are recruiting an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join the established team of a leading Occupational Health Provider in a permanent role, working 4-5 days per week, Monday-Friday. This role will see you working mainly onsite but with the flexibility of some hybrid working.

The Remit:
You will ensure the delivery of a first-class full remit Occupational Health Service. Your duties will include:

  • Carrying out and assessing the outcomes of medicals and surveillance, making sure to effectively communicate the appropriate fitness advice, and escalate when clinically necessary.

  • Case Management (over the phone or in person)

  • Provide other OH services where required such as travel health services, ergonomic advice, or health promotion for our clients

  • Supporting the OH Manager to advise, monitor, and assess the OH Team

  • Ensuring the provision of regular appraisals to Occupational Health employees, facilitating the identification and fulfilment of training and development requirements

  • Fostering strong working relationships and sustaining effective communication with client managers, other professionals, and external contractors

  • Clinically supporting OHTs & OHNs

  • Assuming a senior role in the development and delivery of a prominent and proactive Occupational Health Service

  • Enabling Occupational Health Nurse Advisors to engage in a broader spectrum of clinical activities through the provision of suitable training, updates, and diligent monitoring of relevant training programmes

  • Addressing client/manager inquiries and requests for support or information regarding the working environment

  • Executing specified projects, as mutually agreed upon with the Head of Occupational Health, to enhance the provision of high-quality, clinically effective care


Skills Required:

  • NMC Registered Nurse

  • Hold a recognised Occupational Health Qualification (preferred)

  • Previous Occupational Health experience including Case Management and Health Surveillance. 

  • Excellent knowledge of occupational health and employment legislation
