OH Medical are recruiting for a Mental Health Nurse in permanent Full Time position for a leading Occupational Health Provider in a remote based role with occasional travel to Oldbury and Cheadle.
The Remit:
As the Mental Health Nurse, you will be providing mental health absence intervention for employees. Your duties will include:
Working closely with managers to understand the issues behind Mental Health Absence.
Provide proactive intervention to help combat absence rates.
Triaging referrals and encourage employee to return to work or provide them with an onward referrals.
Defining, developing and influencing Client policy and strategy for managing mental health.
Attending health and wellbeing working groups.
Design and deliver training and awareness sessions for Mental Health First Aiders and Managers (in conjunction with OH) around mental health and the workplace.
Provide expert, evidence-based case management services for referrals relating to attendance, fitness for work and other requests for OH advice when mental health is a factor.
Skills Required
NMC Registered Nurse.
Experience of case management, and delivering training for Mental Health First Aiders
Basic counselling skills and problem-solving techniques
Good IT Literacy - including use of databases and OH software packages, for data analysis and reporting.
Strong written and Verbal Communication Skills
Self motivated with good time management and organisational skills
Able to work autonomously and as part of a wider team
Full UK Driving License
