OH Medical is recruiting for an experienced Occupational Health Nurse Advisor to join a well-established on-site Occupational Health team in Sheffield.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Occupational Health professional who enjoys working in a busy, industrial environment and wants to play a key role in supporting workforce health, safety and wellbeing. You’ll be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality occupational health services that support both operational performance and employee wellbeing.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Delivering occupational health services in line with company policies and professional standards

  • Providing advice and guidance to managers and employees on occupational health and safety matters

  • Promoting workplace health and wellbeing initiatives

  • Supporting the investigation of work-related ill health

  • Managing sickness absence referrals, triaging and monitoring cases

  • Providing clear, evidence-based return-to-work recommendations

  • Conducting drug and alcohol testing in line with policy

  • Contributing to workplace risk assessments to ensure risks are appropriately controlled

  • Maintaining accurate and confidential occupational health records in line with GDPR and NMC requirements

  • Working closely with the wider Occupational Health team to support continuous improvement plans

About you:

Essential:

  • NMC Registered Nurse

  • Occupational Health qualification (Certificate, Diploma or Degree level)

  • Experience in Audiometry and Spirometry

  • Strong IT skills, including MS Office and occupational health systems

  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to advise managers and employees

This role would suit a proactive and organised Occupational Health professional who enjoys building strong working relationships on site.

Working pattern:

This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Flexible start and finish times are available within agreed business hours.
