OH Medical is currently seeking an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join the on-site team of forward-thinking Occupational Health Provider, in a Full or Part-Time (min 4 days) Permanent role. This exciting opportunity will see you working in a hybrid post will see you spending 1-2 days per week in onsite clinics in Oxford with the remainder of your week spent working from home.

The Role:

This role offers the ideal chance for an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to deliver a comprehensive Occupational Health Service. From managing cases and conducting pre-placement assessments to overseeing health surveillance and handling any health surveillance escalations, you'll be at the forefront of delivering exceptional care. Your duties will include:

  • Adhere to Occupational Health policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines to ensure effective service delivery and practice.

  • Conduct initial assessments and manage medical referrals to facilitate corporate attendance management procedures.

  • Provide informed guidance through acquired knowledge of clients' workplace, hazards, and employees' health conditions.

  • Assess employees' fitness for their roles and identify and prevent work-related illnesses.

  • Engage confidently with HR, employees, and representative organisations on health, safety, and wellbeing matters.

  • Implement appropriate risk-based employee health screening, vaccination, and health surveillance programs.

  • Contribute to health promotion initiatives and participate in relevant meetings, consultations, and committees.

  • Maintain practice standards aligned with NMC regulations, legislation, and best practices to uphold professionalism.

 

Required Skills:

To be the successful Occupational Health Advisor candidate for this role, you'll be:

  • An NMC Registered Nurse

  • Ideally qualified to Degree/Diploma level in Occupational Health

  • Previously experienced in an Occupational Health Department with experience of both Case Management and Health Surveillance.

  • Able to demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of best practices and their practical application.

  • An excellent communicator with skills, in both verbal and written communication, including proficiency in report writing.

  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a wider team, with an innovative and results-orientated positive outlook.

  • Able to demonstrate experience in developing Health and Wellbeing Strategies.

  • Proficient in IT, with previous experience of OPAS G2 Software preferred.

 

Salary & Benefits:
