Occupational Health Nurse Advisor
Location: Portishead (Hybrid Working Available)
Salary: £47,810 – £54,710 (Band 7, dependent on experience)
Hours: Full Time – 37 hours per week

OH Medical are recruiting for an experienced Occupational Health Nurse Advisor to join a well-established Occupational Health team based in Portishead.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Occupational Health professional who enjoys working in a structured, forward-thinking environment and wants to play a key role in supporting workforce health, safety and wellbeing. The role offers hybrid working, with a minimum of 60% on-site presence required.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Conducting comprehensive health assessments, including pre-employment and periodic medicals

  • Undertaking recruitment and role-related medicals, assessing fitness for work

  • Managing health surveillance and screening programmes

  • Supporting risk assessed and role-based health assessments

  • Delivering Hepatitis B vaccination programmes, including venepuncture for immunity testing

  • Providing expert advice to employees and managers on occupational health matters

  • Supporting proactive injury prevention and workplace health promotion initiatives

  • Maintaining accurate and confidential occupational health records

  • Delivering external health clinics across regional sites as required

About you:

Essential:

  • Registered General Nurse

  • Experience working as an Occupational Health Nurse Advisor

  • Strong knowledge of occupational health regulations and best practice

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Experience using occupational health software and electronic records systems

Desirable:

  • Clinical skills including venepuncture, immunisations and vaccinations

  • Experience in vision testing, audiometry and spirometry

  • Occupational Health qualification

This role would suit a confident and organised Occupational Health professional who is passionate about promoting wellbeing and delivering high standards of clinical practice.

Working Pattern:

This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week.

Hybrid working is available, with a minimum of 60% on-site presence required across Occupational Health locations. Working patterns can be discussed depending on business need.

  • Full UK driving licence or ability to travel across the region
