Occupational Health Nurse – Onsite Role (Barrow-in-Furness)
Salary: £34,000 – £36,000 per year (DOE)
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours/week (Mon–Thurs 7:15 am–4:00 pm, Fri 7:15 am–11:45 am)
Location: On the client site of a leading Occupational Health provider in Barrow-in-Furness

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of the team, delivering professional, compassionate care that keeps employees healthy, safe, and fit for work. Every day brings variety—from assessing minor injuries and illnesses to delivering health and wellbeing initiatives and offering expert advice.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Deliver a full range of onsite occupational health services, including wellbeing assessments, health promotion, health surveillance, safety-critical medicals, travel health assessments, vaccinations, and drug & alcohol testing
Assess new clients and determine fitness for specific job roles
Conduct clinical assessments for minor illnesses and injuries
Provide professional advice, support, and guidance to patients
Support the OH Manager in maintaining clinical best practice and monitoring team performance
Who We’re Looking For:
Registered Nurse (Part 1) with active NMC registration and up-to-date PIN
Previous experience in occupational health, with health surveillance experience essential
Clinical experience in A&E, ICU, or as a Practice Nurse
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise in a busy environment
Confident using IT systems, including databases, Outlook, Word, and Excel
A proactive, team-player mindset who embraces challenges and enjoys learning and development
