OH Medical are recruiting for a Band 5 Occupational Health Screening Nurse in an onsite role in Hull. This full-time 3 month contract role position will see you working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The Remit

This fantastic opportunity will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team supporting in the delivery of a first class OH service.

 

Your duties will include:

 

  • Liaise with Public health and Infection Control teams during outbreaks of infection

  • Communicate daily on issues (both routine and sensitive) relating to OH via telephone and face to face both internally and externally handling clients with empathy in a supportive manner

  • Attend relevant meetings that impact the OH Function

  • Undertake pre-employment screening, health surveillance, venepuncture, mercury surveillance, skin assessments, work place assessments and provide analysis and onward referrals where appropriate

  • Carry out immunisation programmes

  • Provide First aid treatment

  • Management of bodily fluid exposure incidents and their follow up

  • Provide OH advice whilst complying to the ethical guidelines of the faculty of Occupational Health Medicine

  • Participate in audits and research programmes as required

 

 

 

Skill Requirements

  • NMC Registered Nurse

  • Experience in clinical skills: Venepuncture, immunisations and vaccinations

  • Experience of Audiometry, Spirometry and Vision testing

  • Previous NHS Occupational Health experience preferred

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Good time keeping skills and able to work flexibly and to strict deadlines.

  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a wider team

  • IT Literate

  • Car driver with Full Clean License
