OH Medical are recruiting for a Band 5 Occupational Health Screening Nurse in an onsite role in Hull. This full-time 3 month contract role position will see you working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
The Remit
This fantastic opportunity will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team supporting in the delivery of a first class OH service.
Your duties will include:
Liaise with Public health and Infection Control teams during outbreaks of infection
Communicate daily on issues (both routine and sensitive) relating to OH via telephone and face to face both internally and externally handling clients with empathy in a supportive manner
Attend relevant meetings that impact the OH Function
Undertake pre-employment screening, health surveillance, venepuncture, mercury surveillance, skin assessments, work place assessments and provide analysis and onward referrals where appropriate
Carry out immunisation programmes
Provide First aid treatment
Management of bodily fluid exposure incidents and their follow up
Provide OH advice whilst complying to the ethical guidelines of the faculty of Occupational Health Medicine
Participate in audits and research programmes as required
Skill Requirements
NMC Registered Nurse
Experience in clinical skills: Venepuncture, immunisations and vaccinations
Experience of Audiometry, Spirometry and Vision testing
Previous NHS Occupational Health experience preferred
Good written and verbal communication skills
Good time keeping skills and able to work flexibly and to strict deadlines.
Able to work autonomously and as part of a wider team
IT Literate
Car driver with Full Clean License
