Occupational Health Technician – Jersey

Competitive Salary + Full Training + Brilliant Benefits
Jersey (must be based locally)
Full-time | 37.5 hours per week (typically 8am–6pm)

OH Medical is working with a leading Occupational Health provider to find an Occupational Health Technician to join their growing Jersey-based team.

If you’re hands-on, organised, and enjoy being out on-site rather than behind a desk, this is one of those roles where no two days look the same. You’ll be delivering vital health surveillance services that genuinely help keep people safe, well, and in work.

Even better… you don’t need prior Occupational Health experience. With a fully supported 3-week training and induction programme, this is a brilliant entry point into the sector.

The Role

As an Occupational Health Technician you’ll be travelling to client sites across Jersey delivering a range of health surveillance and screening services, including:

  • Audiometry, spirometry, and general health surveillance

  • Baseline measurements (height, weight, blood pressure, urinalysis)

  • Accurately recording medical data and passing this to clinical teams

  • Maintaining and preparing equipment to a high standard

  • Supporting health promotion activities on-site

  • Providing high-quality data to support clinical decision-making

What We’re Looking For In An Occupational Health Technician
  • This role suits someone who’s practical, reliable, and confident working independently.

  • You might come from a background such as:

    • OHT

    • Hospital Healthcare Assistant

    • Emergency Care Assistant / Technician

    • Ambulance or Military Medic

    • Sports Science graduate (with experience taking baseline measurements)

You’ll also need:

  • Strong organisation and time management skills

  • Excellent communication and people skills

  • A good understanding of GDPR and data handling

  • Confidence working both independently and as part of a wider team

  • A proactive, can-do attitude

Essential Requirements

  • Must be based in Jersey

  • Full UK manual driving licence (held for 12+ months)

  • Must be aged 21+ (insurance purposes)

  • Access to your own vehicle

What’s In It For You?

This isn’t just a job… it’s a well-supported pathway into Occupational Health:

  • 3-week structured training & induction programme

  • Ongoing mentoring and support

  • Diary visibility 6 weeks in advance

  • Fuel card provided

  • Access to Premier Inn booking account

  • Weekly subsistence payments when staying away

Why This Role?

If you’ve been looking for a way into Occupational Health, this is one of the best entry routes out there. You’ll gain hands-on clinical experience, build real-world skills, and work with a team that genuinely supports your development.

If you’re based in Jersey and want a role where you’re out on-site, making a difference every day… Get in touch with OH Medical today or apply now to find out more.
