Occupational Health Advisor (In-House)

OH Medical is recruiting an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join a national, in-house Occupational Health team supporting a safety-critical, blue-light workforce.

The Role
This is a full-time (37 hours) fixed-term contract for 6 months, delivered through a blended model. You’ll work predominantly remotely, with attendance required for induction and occasional team meetings.
Ideally you’ll be located within reach of London, Manchester, Glasgow, Leeds or Birmingham.
As an Occupational Health Advisor you’ll provide a full range of Occupational Health services, acting as a trusted clinical advisor to both employees and managers.
Key Responsibilities
Complex case management
Fitness for work and fitness for task assessments
Health surveillance and safety critical medicals
Evidence-based advice and recommendations
Supporting sickness absence and wellbeing strategies
Advising managers on workplace adjustments and risk
Attending occasional meetings across regional hubs
Working collaboratively within an established in-house OH team
This role offers real ownership. You’ll manage your own caseload and make confident, professional decisions that directly support workforce safety and wellbeing.
What We’re Looking For
Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Occupational Health
Proven Occupational Health experience
Strong case management skills
Experience with safety critical or fitness for task medicals
Sound understanding of OH and Health & Safety legislation
Ability to work independently and remotely
Professional, credible and confident communicator
Salary & Benefits
To be the successful Occupational Health Advisor candidate for this role, you'll be:
Up to £50,281.08 basic salary D.O.E
£4,598 market supplement
£4,613 London allowance (where applicable)
Full time, 37 hours
Mainly home based working
In-house team environment
