OH Medical is currently seeking a Wellbeing Physiologist to undertake a Full-Time 6 month fixed term contract role for a leading Occupational Health Provider, working across 2 sites in Govan and Scotstoun.

The Role:

This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced Wellbeing Physiologist to join the established team of a leading Occupational Health provider in the delivery of a first-class Occupational Health Service. As the successful Wellbeing Physiologist candidate your duties will consist of:

  • Conducting Lifestyle Clinical Assessments for Patients

  • Offering evidence-based advice tailored to the patient’s health profile, including adiposity, biochemistry, and blood screening, adjusting recommendations based on the stage of behaviour change

  • Developing and implementing written action plans derived from treatment prescriptions, tailored to the relevant stage of change

  • Establishing positive and realistic goals while coaching patients to unlock their potential

  • Providing assistance and reassurance to clients during medical tests

  • Utilizing specialized equipment to perform clinical physiological tests

  • Recording and analyzing physiological data accurately

  • Maintaining and calibrating equipment in accordance with policy, promptly reporting faults, and ensuring proper functioning

  • Interpreting clinical data and assessing patients’ clinical risk, making informed decisions on whether to escalate to GP or OH practitioners for further investigation and management

  • Adhering to company policies to safeguard sensitive personal information, as required by law, regulatory bodies, ethics, and best practice

  • Coordinating clients and equipment placement for events, ensuring correct locations and positions

  • Assisting key stakeholders in designing strategic marketing campaigns

  • Empowering others to take accountability for their health and wellbeing

  • Serving as a health and wellbeing role model, ambassador, and collaborative team player

  • Cultivating and promoting a culture prioritizing health and wellbeing

  • Continuously updating knowledge through ongoing research and a commitment to learning

  • Demonstrating adherence to the company’s core values, including diligence, honesty, exemplary customer service, professionalism, and ethical and trustworthy behaviors. Valuing colleagues, customers, and business partners and taking responsibility for actions.

Required Skills:

  •  Qualified to degree level or equivalent in Sports Science/ Health Science/ Exercise Physiology/ Sports Therapy

  • Experienced in sport, medical, health, wellbeing or fitness environments

  • Or have studied human physiology, exercise, biochemistry, anatomy/biomechanics, psychology or nutrition.

  • Qualifications in Level 2 Gym Instructing, Level 3 Personal Training and Level 3 Exercise Referral are also desirable.
