We’re working with a well-established and growing groundworks contractor based in Gloucester, delivering major residential and infrastructure schemes across the South West and into South Wales.
With their current Head of Health & Safety due to retire in just under a year, they are now looking to bring in a strong H&S professional to work alongside them and step into the Head of role following a planned handover. The progression route is clear from day one.
What you’ll be doing day to day:
Overseeing health & safety across multiple live groundworks sites
Carrying out site audits, inspections and incident investigations
Developing and reviewing RAMS and ensuring full CDM compliance
Working closely with operational teams and main contractors to drive a positive safety culture
What they’re looking for:
Proven Health & Safety experience within groundworks or civils (essential)
Strong working knowledge of CDM regulations and HSE legislation
NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent)
Confident communicator who can influence site teams and senior stakeholders
