OH Medical is recruiting for an experienced Mental Health Nurse for a full time permanent role with a leading Occupational Health provider working at their client site in Faslane.
The Remit:
This full remit Mental Health role will see you delivering:
- Case management services for referrals relating to attendance, fitness for work and other requests for OH advice when mental health is a factor. 
- Evidence based written reports 
- Advice in relation employees fitness to carry out their role is communicated to the Client, and escalating where clinically appropriate. 
- Assess, refer and of OH including: existing 3rd party support services (EAP and Counselling), HR & Trade Unions, both local and National Charitable and NFP Organisations, Local Mental Health Services, Other Primary, Secondary & Tertiary Health and Care Services 
- Collaboration with team members to facilitate and deliver training and awareness sessions to Mental Health First Aiders and others workplace stakeholders 
- Assist in Developing the policy and strategy for managing mental health in the context of the Client’s business, Framework for Mental Health First Aiders Community across the client’s business including a model of support for MHFAs 
- Support the wider OH team with health surveillance, case management and drug and alcohol testing as required. 
Skill Requirements:
- NMC Part 1 Registered Nurse – Mental Health and/or Adult (Essential) Part 3 Registered (Preferred) 
- Experience of working in the community or a in specialist unit in at least one of the following sectors: NHS, private healthcare, occupational health, mental health charity or the armed forces (Essential) 
- Case Management and provision of advice in relation to the workplace/occupation (Essential) 
- General medicals and health surveillance experience (Preferred) 
- Good IT literacy and Communication Skills (Essential) 
- Comprehensive understanding of the principles and practice of data protection and confidentiality in OH (Essential) 
- Excellent knowledge of occupational health and employment legislation (Essential) 
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of the multidisciplinary OH team (Essential) 
- Registered with BACP with an accredited qualification in counselling or psychotherapy (Preferred)
