OH Medical is seeking an experienced and proactive Occupational Health Advisor to join our client onsite in Uttoxeter. This is a brand-new, permanent position created as the company transitions from a contractor-led service to a fully in-house Occupational Health function.
With around 650 employees onsite, this is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of the OH service, strengthen its foundations, and drive a more proactive, wellbeing-focused approach.
Duties:
Deliver the full Occupational Health remit including management referrals, pre-employment assessments, and statutory health surveillance (audiometry, spirometry, etc.).
Lead and develop proactive health and wellbeing initiatives such as campaigns, wellbeing days, and engagement activities.
Support the wider HSE team in maintaining compliance and promoting a culture of health and safety.
Conduct exit medicals and ensure robust record-keeping for due diligence.
Provide professional advice on workplace health, ageing workforce challenges, and health promotion.
Work collaboratively with HR and HSE to embed a holistic, people-centred OH strategy.
Criteria:
Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration.
Occupational Health qualification (Diploma/Degree).
Experience in Occupational Health, ideally within an industrial or food manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of health surveillance and wellbeing best practices.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels.
Proactive, adaptable, and self-motivated approach to developing an OH service.
Salary & Benefits:
Up to £55,000 per annum.
