OH Medical is currently seeking an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join a leading Occupational Health Provider, in a Full-Time Permanent role. This exciting site-based opportunity will see you join a multidisciplinary team in Plymouth.
The Role:
This role offers the ideal chance for an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to provide a first-class Occupational Health Service operating to high clinical standards. Your duties will include:
- Delivering expert, evidence-based case management for referrals covering attendance, fitness for work, and wider OH advice. 
- Producing clear, professional, and comprehensive written reports grounded in robust clinical evidence. 
- Providing informed guidance on legislative requirements and best practice across occupational health. 
- Carrying out fitness medicals and health surveillance in line with best practice standards and Health Partners’ policies and protocols. 
- Interpreting the outcomes of medicals and surveillance, giving accurate fitness advice, and escalating cases where clinically appropriate. 
- Offering clinical supervision and support to team members, including OH Technicians, where required. 
This is an onsite post, but hybrid working may be considered. 
Required Skills: 
To be the successful Occupational Health Advisor candidate for this role, you'll be:
- An NMC Registered Nurse 
- Qualified to Degree/Diploma level in Occupational Health. 
- Previously experienced in Occupational Health and proficient in delivering: 
- Spirometry 
- Audiometry 
- General Medicals 
- Drug and Alcohol Screening 
- Case Management 
- Fitness for Role Assessments 
- Able to demonstrate strong interpersonal, organisational, and administrative abilities. 
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. 
- Able to demonstrate knowledge of occupational health and employment legislation 
- Able to demonstrate a solid understanding of Data Protection and confidentiality standards. 
- Able to undertake a full-time 37.5 hour week with the following shift pattern: 
- Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4pm 
- Fridays 7.30am to 2.45pm 
- with a 45-minute lunch break on all days
