OH Medical is working in partnership with Dyfed Powys Police and their in-house Occupational Health service to recruit a Registered Nurse. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established Occupational Health team delivering health surveillance, screening, vaccinations, and health promotion services within a structured and supportive environment.
The role focuses on preventative occupational health, wellbeing initiatives, and compliance with statutory health surveillance requirements. It would suit a nurse who enjoys autonomy, variety, and proactive health promotion work.
Duties:
Deliver occupational health surveillance and screening in line with statutory requirements.
Administer vaccinations including Hepatitis B and annual flu programmes.
Undertake pre-employment health screening and medical assessments.
Carry out audiometry, spirometry, blood tests and exposure-related surveillance.
Support health promotion activities and wellbeing initiatives.
Provide advice and guidance on health and fitness for work matters.
Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure equipment is appropriately maintained.
Work collaboratively with the wider OH team to deliver a high-quality service.
Criteria:
Registered General Nurse with current NMC registration.
Minimum 3 years post-registration experience.
Background in Occupational Health, Practice Nursing, Community Nursing, A&E or similar.
Experience with vaccinations and/or phlebotomy (or willingness to train).
Able to work autonomously with good clinical judgement.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
IT literate and confident with clinical record keeping.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.
Salary & Benefits:
£38,169 - £41,487 per annum.
