An exciting opportunity has arisen on a full time permanent basis for an Occupational Health Service Manager to lead an existing multi-disciplinary Occupational Health team providing high-quality services with our client located in Hamilton, Lanarkshire.
The main focus of the role is to provide visible, professional leadership and a continuous quality improvement approach to the provision of exemplary Occupational Health Services.
As the OH Service Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:
Manage and develop the occupational health service.
Oversee recruitment, professional development, and disciplinary matters.
Accountable for the OH service budget and services.
Manage procurement, contracting, and budget.
Maintain optimal staff skill mix within available resources.
Monitor and review overall service activity.
Develop and review operational policies in line with national guidelines.
Contribute to Safe and Effective Quality Occupational Health Standards (SEQOHS).
Conduct individual appraisals and ensure personal development plans.
Provide mentorship/supervision for OH staff undertaking specialist practitioner studies.
Develop a strategy for training and education, supporting mandatory training.
Facilitate internal and external training opportunities.
What we'll need you to bring
Registered Nurse on Part 1 of the NMC Register
Specialist Community Public Health Practitioner (OH) qualification and Registration on part 3 of the NMC Register.
Professional leadership and managerial experience within Occupational Health.
Experience of human and financial resource management
The role is offering a generous salary range of £67,200 - £71,900. Some of the benefits include:
