​An exciting opportunity has arisen on a full time permanent basis for an Occupational Health Service Manager to lead an existing multi-disciplinary Occupational Health team providing high-quality services with our client located in Hamilton, Lanarkshire.

The main focus of the role is to provide visible, professional leadership and a continuous quality improvement approach to the provision of exemplary Occupational Health Services.

As the OH Service Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and develop the occupational health service.

  • Oversee recruitment, professional development, and disciplinary matters.

  • Accountable for the OH service budget and services.

  • Manage procurement, contracting, and budget.

  • Maintain optimal staff skill mix within available resources.

  • Monitor and review overall service activity.

  • Develop and review operational policies in line with national guidelines.

  • Contribute to Safe and Effective Quality Occupational Health Standards (SEQOHS).

  • Conduct individual appraisals and ensure personal development plans.

  • Provide mentorship/supervision for OH staff undertaking specialist practitioner studies.

  • Develop a strategy for training and education, supporting mandatory training.

  • Facilitate internal and external training opportunities.

What we'll need you to bring

  • Registered Nurse on Part 1 of the NMC Register

  • Specialist Community Public Health Practitioner (OH) qualification and Registration on part 3 of the NMC Register.

  • Professional leadership and managerial experience within Occupational Health.

  • Experience of human and financial resource management

The role is offering a generous salary range of £67,200 - £71,900. Some of the benefits include:
