OH Medical are recruiting for an Occupational Health Technician for a direct 12 month Fixed Term Contract based on 2 client sites of a Leading Occupational Health Provider in Glasgow
The Remit
This role covers the full spectrum of Health Surveillance and Screening and your duties will include covering two locations with a 4 mile radius. Your daily activities will include:
Health Screening including general baseline measurements such as height, weight, blood pressure, and urinalysis
Drug and Alcohol testing
Fitness for work medicals
Health surveillance including audiometry and spirometry
Health promotion a
Ensuring accurate recording of all medical information
Maintaining equipment to ensure it is serviceable, clean and fit for purpose
Providing support to the whole Occupational Health team in helping the department to run smoothly and effectively
Skill Requirements
Be self-motivated with a proactive approach to work
Strong IT skills
Able to prioritise own workload and manage own time effectively
Capable of working flexibly and to strict deadlines
Able to work both independently and also within a team framework
Understand the requirement for patient confidentiality, ensuring all patients are treated with respect, dignity and privacy
Have good interpersonal and both written and oral communication skills
Previous experience working in a clinical/fitness setting or as one of the following: OHT, Offshore Medic, Emergency Care Assistant (Ambulance), EMT, Military Medic, or Health Care Assistant
Previous knowledge and experience of working in Occupational Health would be highly desirable
