​OH Medical are recruiting for an Occupational Health Technician for a direct 12 month Fixed Term Contract based on 2 client sites of a Leading Occupational Health Provider in Glasgow 


The Remit
This role covers the full spectrum of Health Surveillance and Screening and your duties will include covering two locations with a 4 mile radius. Your daily activities will include:

  • Health Screening including general baseline measurements such as height, weight, blood pressure, and urinalysis

  • Drug and Alcohol testing

  • Fitness for work medicals

  • Health surveillance including audiometry and spirometry

  • Health promotion a

  • Ensuring accurate recording of all medical information

  • Maintaining equipment  to ensure it is serviceable, clean and fit for purpose

  • Providing support to the whole Occupational Health team in helping the department to run smoothly and effectively

Skill Requirements

  • Be self-motivated with a proactive approach to work

  • Strong IT skills

  • Able to prioritise own workload and manage own time effectively

  • Capable of working flexibly and to strict deadlines

  • Able to work both independently and also within a team framework

  • Understand the requirement for patient confidentiality, ensuring all patients are treated with respect, dignity and privacy

  • Have good interpersonal and both written and oral communication skills

  • Previous experience working in a clinical/fitness setting or as one of the following: OHT, Offshore Medic, Emergency Care Assistant (Ambulance), EMT, Military Medic, or Health Care Assistant

  • Previous knowledge and experience of working in Occupational Health would be highly desirable
