Wellbeing Physiologist – Strength & Conditioning / Rehabilitation

Location: Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week (between 7am and 5pm)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on qualifications and experience

OH Medical is recruiting on behalf of a leading Occupational Health provider for an experienced and motivated Wellbeing Physiologist. This full-time position is ideal for professionals with a strong background in rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, or musculoskeletal care. 

The Role:
As the Rehabilitation Wellbeing Physiologist you'll play a key role in delivering evidence-based, tailored rehabilitation programmes that support recovery from injury, improve physical performance, and promote long-term health and wellbeing in the workplace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out in-depth musculoskeletal assessments, identifying movement dysfunction and injury causes

  • Develop and deliver individualised rehabilitation plans based on clinical best practice

  • Run 1:1 and group exercise sessions appropriate to all ability levels

  • Educate clients on injury prevention, biomechanics, and exercise technique

  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists and S&C coaches

  • Deliver functional rehab programmes that encourage autonomy and recovery

  • Contribute to the design of occupational health programmes focused on performance and prevention

  • Maintain accurate client records in line with clinical standards and data protection requirements

About You
We’re looking for Rehabilitation Wellbeing Physiologist who is a qualified professional with a background in:

  • Sports Rehabilitation, Strength and Conditioning, Sports Therapy, Physiotherapy, or a related field

  • Understanding of exercise prescription, anatomy, and biomechanics

  • Experience in MSK rehabilitation, injury management, or performance training

  • Ability to work with individuals with chronic illness, disabilities, or mental health conditions

  • Confident delivering both individual and group-based interventions

Desirable:

  • Master’s degree in a related field

  • Familiarity with coaching/rehab software or health tracking technology

  • Knowledge of occupational health and workplace wellbeing environments
