Wellbeing Physiologist (Peripatetic)
Location: London Based – UK Travel Required
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 pro rata (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Hours: 30 hours per week (Monday–Thursday, 0.8 FTE)
Contract: 6 Month Fixed-Term Contract
OH Medical is recruiting for a Wellbeing Physiologist to join a leading occupational health and wellbeing service provider on a 6-month fixed-term contract.
This is a London-based, peripatetic role requiring frequent UK-wide travel. Travel outside of London is fully covered, including mileage, hotels and food expenses. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential.
This opportunity would suit a motivated and proactive health professional who is passionate about prevention, health screening and supporting individuals to improve their overall wellbeing.
What you’ll be doing:
Delivering comprehensive health screening appointments assessing key health metrics including blood pressure, BMI, cholesterol, blood glucose and respiratory health
Using specialist clinical equipment to conduct physiological testing
Recording, analysing and interpreting clinical data
Assessing clinical risk and escalating to GPs or Occupational Health practitioners where required
Educating employees on preventative health measures and lifestyle improvements
Ensuring sensitive and confidential handling of all personal data
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge through continued professional development
This is a client-facing role where strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly are essential.
About you:
We’re looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic professional with a background in health, sport or exercise science.
You will have:
A degree (or equivalent) in Sports & Exercise Science, Health Science, Exercise Physiology or a related field
Experience delivering health assessments or a strong understanding of clinical measurements
Excellent organisational and diary management skills
Confident communication skills and a proactive approach
A compassionate, supportive attitude when working with diverse populations
Experience supporting individuals with chronic health conditions, disabilities or mental health concerns would be advantageous but is not essential.
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential for this role.
Working Pattern:
30 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, between 8:00am and 6:00pm.
Flexibility is required, including occasional late or night shifts where necessary.
