OH Medical is currently seeking an experienced Senior Occupational Health Advisor to undertake a Full-Time 12-month contract role in Belfast. This exciting opportunity will put you at the forefront of providing a comprehensive Occupational Health Service in a Public Sector Department, supporting their contracts with various Agencies, and Bodies.
The Role:
This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced Senior Occupational Health Advisor to join an established dynamic team, our client is committed to addressing existing and emerging clinical needs, going beyond the conventional employee referral service. As the successful Senior Occupational Health Advisor, you will play a crucial role in:
Providing professional and line management leadership to the OH Nursing and Allied Group.
Contributing to business planning, risk management, and Corporate HR initiatives.
Influencing strategy and policy development within OH and the wider public sector.
Developing health promotion and early intervention programs.
Offering specialist occupational nursing services, ensuring compliance with legislation.
Actively participating in clinical duties, including the SEQOHS accreditation program.
Managing resources, including stock control, medicines, and clinical disposables.
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective service delivery.
Required Skills:
To thrive in this Senior Occupational Health Advisor role, you'll need:
NMC Registration (ideally Part 3)
Previous experience in occupational health nursing including case management and health surveillance.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Ability to contribute to strategic planning and policy development.
Knowledge of relevant legislation and clinical best practices.
Excellent communication skills to engage with various stakeholders.
IT literacy; proficient with Microsoft Office suite and Teams
Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise own workload and work flexibly and to strict deadlines
Understanding the importance of strict confidentiality of all records and treating all employees with respect, dignity and privacy
