QHSE Manager – Cheshire
Full-Time | 4.5 Days per Week | Competitive Salary + Bonus + Benefits.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a talented and proactive QHSE Manager to join our leadership team as we embark on the next phase of our growth.
This is a pivotal role in ensuring our commitment to quality, health, safety, and environmental excellence across our two sites in Widnes.
You will report directly to the CEO, with close day-to-day collaboration with the Technical Director and newly appointed Operations Director.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certification programs.
Oversee Health, Safety, and Environmental management for both non-COMAH sites.
Drive continuous improvement through complaint analysis, process audits, and corrective actions.
Manage Product Stewardship on a cradle-to-grave basis.
Ensure compliance with UK and European REACH regulations and other applicable legislation.
Oversee waste management, MOC (Management of Change) processes, and ensure safe chemical handling practices.
Actively participate in management meetings, contributing to the broader direction of the business.
About You
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a QHSE management role within a liquid chemical processing environment.
Experience in SME operations and manual processing preferred.
Strong technical background in Chemicals.
Degree-qualified in Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field.
Hands-on, decisive, and comfortable operating autonomously.
Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
Demonstrated Product Stewardship expertise; REACH compliance experience is highly advantageous.
Customer liaison and complaint handling experience desirable.
Clear potential to develop into a people leadership role.
