HSE Coordinator

Newcastle Area

Circa £43k DOE + Excellent Benefits

A leading manufacturing organisation is seeking a proactive HSE Coordinator to take ownership of health, safety, and environmental compliance across its operations. This is a site-based role where you’ll play a key part in embedding a strong safety culture, ensuring full legal compliance, and driving continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental performance.

 

What the HSE Coordinator will be doing:

       Implement and maintain HSE policies, systems, and procedures, ensuring full compliance with legislation, standards, and audits.

       Conduct risk assessments, identify hazards, and put preventive measures in place to safeguard employees, visitors, and operations.

       Lead investigations into accidents/near misses, track and report HSE performance metrics, and drive continuous improvement.

       Deliver engaging HSE training (including inductions), coordinate emergency drills, and ensure correct use of PPE across the site.

 

What the HSE Coordinator needs:

       NEBOSH General Certificate (Diploma would be advantageous).

       3 years’ experience in a health & safety role within manufacturing.

       Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

       Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
