OH Medical is currently looking for an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join our client and their in-house OH team located in Nottingham on a full-time, permanent basis.
Working as an Occupational Health Advisor, your duties will include:
Deliver OH services including pre-employment checks and health surveillance to ensure fitness for work.
Maintain NMC registration and professional standards in line with the Code of Conduct.
Keep clinical training current (e.g. spirometry, audiometry).
Support HR with recruitment by assessing fitness to work.
Advise on workplace health and safety (e.g. COSHH, manual handling, noise exposure).
Assist with absence management, phased returns, and reasonable adjustments under the Equality Act.
Provide mental health support and referrals where appropriate.
Promote health and wellbeing initiatives across the site.
Support the ongoing development of the OH service.
Stay up to date with relevant health and safety legislation.
Liaise with GPs and specialists to inform occupational health decisions.
Maintain strict confidentiality and accurate health records.
Contribute to successful health and safety audits.
Requirements:
Registered Nurse with Occupational Health experience.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and their practical application.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Proven capability in managing occupational health initiatives within a manufacturing or food production environment.
