OH Medical is currently looking for an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join our client and their in-house OH team located in Nottingham on a full-time, permanent basis.

Working as an Occupational Health Advisor, your duties will include:

  • Deliver OH services including pre-employment checks and health surveillance to ensure fitness for work.

  • Maintain NMC registration and professional standards in line with the Code of Conduct.

  • Keep clinical training current (e.g. spirometry, audiometry).

  • Support HR with recruitment by assessing fitness to work.

  • Advise on workplace health and safety (e.g. COSHH, manual handling, noise exposure).

  • Assist with absence management, phased returns, and reasonable adjustments under the Equality Act.

  • Provide mental health support and referrals where appropriate.

  • Promote health and wellbeing initiatives across the site.

  • Support the ongoing development of the OH service.

  • Stay up to date with relevant health and safety legislation.

  • Liaise with GPs and specialists to inform occupational health decisions.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality and accurate health records.

  • Contribute to successful health and safety audits.


Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with Occupational Health experience.

  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and their practical application.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proven capability in managing occupational health initiatives within a manufacturing or food production environment.
