About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join our team in Port Sunlight. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality occupational health services, including clinical activities such as vaccinations, phlebotomy, health surveillance, medical assessments, and complex case management. You will work autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide expert advice, promote health and wellbeing, and ensure compliance with professional and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Practice & Standards
Work within the NMC Code of Conduct and professional scope of practice.
Deliver high standards of occupational health services in line with company policies and best practice.
Undertake clinical services including health surveillance, fitness to work medicals, vaccinations, and phlebotomy.
Case Management
Provide professional occupational health case management advice to the client.
Manage complex referrals and support early return-to-work strategies.
Health Promotion & Education
Advise employers and employees on health issues, wellbeing initiatives, and health promotion activities.
Attend, present, and host wellness and health promotion events for the client.
Collaboration & Teamwork
Work with the client’s multi-disciplinary team to meet service level agreements.
Mentor and support new team members during induction and training.
Compliance & Administration
Ensure all clinical documentation is accurate, confidential, and GDPR compliant.
Fully utilise company IT systems and contribute to continuous improvement.
Maintain CPD records to meet NMC revalidation requirements.
Requirements
Essential:
Occupational Health degree/diploma & active NMC registration.
Demonstrable experience in occupational health practice.
Trained in health surveillance, vaccinations, phlebotomy, and fitness to work medicals.
Proven competency in managing complex case management referrals.
Desirable:
Previous experience in a commercial or corporate OH environment.
Experience delivering workplace health promotion activities.
Core Skills
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to work to protocols and professional standards.
Awareness of personal development needs and willingness to undertake training.
