​We are recruiting a qualified and experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join one of the UK's largest Occupational Health Providers. The successful candidate will be providing their OH Services to a single client. This is a home-based, Full-time, permanent role with the occasional requirement for travel within Swansea.

Responsibilities

  • To provide professional effective advice to managers on the management of absence, rehabilitation, and re-deployment and to take a key role in case management decision-making

  • Telephone and face to face/video assessments

  • Health Surveillance and Fitness for Work Assessments. Promote the health of all employees by developing and participating in health promotion programmes in conjunction with national health events and the requirements of the client

  • To assist in preventive strategies to promote a safe and healthy working environment

  • Support the Senior OHA in developing the service, identifying opportunities, needs and implement changes in practice as appropriate

Requirements

  • NMC-Registered General Nurse

  • Occupational Health qualification

  • Previous experience working within occupational health, preferably within a team environment, or experience in a similar report-writing capacity e.g. disability/PIP assessments, health visiting

  • Proven experience in case management and risk assessment. Must be competent at making complex clinical occupational health decisions and giving appropriate advice to management at all levels

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to be able to influence and gain the support of line managers, HR Managers and employees throughout client organisations

  • Good organisational skills both to manage own workload and the workflow within the OH team and provider organisation

  • Problem solving skills to devise workable solutions to the occupational health issues identified

  • Specific refined skills in case management

  • Computer literate
