OHA Team Leader

OH Medical is currently seeking an experienced Lead Occupational Health Advisor to join a leading Occupational Health Provider, in a Full-Time Permanent role in Horsham. This exciting opportunity will see you working in a hybrid post with a 50/50 split of onsite and working from home to deliver a first-class Occupational Health Service.

The Role:

This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced Lead Occupational Health Advisor to join an established Occupational Health team making real and enduring impacts in the lives of employees. As the Lead Occupational Health Advisor, you will spend 2-3 days per week working onsite and 2-3 days per week working from home, as well as occasional travel throughout the year for audits, appraisals and team events to Devon, Somerset, Kent and Suffolk (the travel amounts to about 4 weeks per year). Your duties will include:

  • Conducting assessments for new clients accessing Occupational Health services, whether through face-to-face consultations or written referrals and initiating case management as needed.

  • Evaluating clients' suitability for their specific job roles in accordance with policies and guidelines, and issuing relevant fitness certificates.

  • Providing guidance, support, and ongoing evaluation of the clinical practices within the Occupational Health team.

  • Addressing requests from clients and managers for support and information regarding workplace conditions.

  • Maintaining accurate and thorough records in accordance with departmental record-keeping protocols.

  • Ensuring compliance with Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) guidelines and maintaining current registration with the NMC.

  • Advocating for equal opportunities and fostering a workplace environment that respects the dignity of all individuals and is free from harassment and bullying.

  • Cultivating positive working relationships and maintaining effective communication with client managers, colleagues, and external contacts.

  • Overseeing the maintenance of equipment, resources, and staffing requirements, in collaboration with the Construction Head of Nursing.

  • Providing regular performance appraisals to the Occupational Health Team and addressing their training and development needs accordingly.

 

Required Skills:

To thrive in this Lead Occupational Health Advisor role, you'll need:

  • NMC Registered Nurse

  • Post-Registration Occupational Health Qualification

  • Excellent Communication and People Management Skills

  • Effective Time Management and Organisational Skills with the Ability to Manage Your Own Workload and Organise the Workflow of the OH Department

  • Excellent Problem Solving Skills with the Ability to Find Practical Solutions to any Identified Occupational Health Issues.

  • Friendly, courteous, and approachable demeanour to foster and sustain robust working relationships, coupled with the capability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team setting.

  • Knowledge and Experience of Case Management.

  • Strong IT Literacy is Essential.

 

Salary & Benefits:
