OH Medical is recruiting on behalf of a leading Occupational Health provider for an energetic, reliable and people-focused Peripatetic Occupational Health Technician based in the Wiltshire area. What you’ll be doing
Think of this role as a travelling wellbeing hub. You’ll drive a Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) to client sites and carry out core health surveillance, including:
• Audiometry and lung function testing
• Baseline checks such as height, weight, BP and urinalysis
• Recording accurate clinical data for the wider OH team
• Keeping equipment spotless and shipshape
• Supporting health promotion and wider wellbeing activities
• Providing biometric data to help clinical colleagues make informed decisions
You’ll be fully supported with a structured three-week training and induction programme, plus ongoing mentoring to help you grow your skills and confidence.
Who we’re looking for
You’ll bring calm, clarity and great communication wherever you go. Solid understanding of GDPR, strong organisation and the ability to manage your own workload are essential. This role suits backgrounds such as:
• Emergency Care Assistant
• Ambulance Technician / Assistant
• Emergency Care Technician
• Army Medic
• Sports Science graduates with experience in baseline measurements
Are you over 21 with a manual UK driving licence (held for at least 12 months is essential)? You must also be able to park an MMU at or near your home and be comfortable with regular travel and overnight stays.
Travel & overnights
Expect to be away around 3 weeks out of every 4, always home by Friday for your weekend. You’ll have:
• Six weeks’ diary visibility
• Subsistence paid back within a week
• Premier Inn account for smooth bookings
• Fuel card
• Temporary use of your personal car or hire car until the new van arrives
Hours & location
• 37.5 hours per week, typically 8am to 6pm
• Based in Wiltshire with regional travel and occasional national work
Salary & benefits
• £25,000 to £27,000 depending on experience
