OH Medical are recruiting for an experienced Physiotherapist to join the onsite team of a leading Occupational Health provider at their client site in Barrow-in-Furness in a Part Time (3 days per week) permanent position.
The Remit
As the Physiotherapist you will be supporting the delivery of a first-class Occupational Health Service.
Your duties will include:
Clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment
Classifying presenting clinical MSK disorders into work related categories
Providing reports following assessment and at point of discharge to indicate fitness for work and any adjustments to roles required on either short term, long term or permanent basis.
Lead onsite exercise classes to rehabilitate MSK injuries
DSE Assessments
Workplace risk assessments identifying hazards to MSK Health
Ergonomic risk assessments with Safety Health & Environment advisors on-site to identify risks to the employees within a specified area
Providing the wider OH team with information regarding any work practice or working environment changes that are required on a short or long-term basis
Effective rehabilitation of staff with MSK disorders
Collection of statistical information for report generation
Contribute/run health promotion events
Skill Requirements
HCPC registered Physiotherapist
BSc / MSc qualified Physiotherapist
Post Grad clinical experience in physiotherapy ideally with an MSK focus
Good communication skills written and verbal
Ability to manage own workload, self-motivate and identify priorities
Good IT literacy IT literate
Post graduate training in Manual therapy
Experience of delivering Health Education/Promotion and providing fitness for work advice
Knowledge of Basic Workplace ergonomics
Occupational Health Physiotherapy experience – Highly Desirable
Post-graduate training in Occupational Health/Ergonomics – Highly Desirable
Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) – Highly Desirable
Member of Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Occupational Health & Ergonomics (ACPOHE) – Highly Desirable
