Head of Bids – Occupational Health

Salary: £70,000 – £80,000 per annum
Location: Home-based (occasional travel required)

OH Medical is delighted to be recruiting for a Head of Bids – Occupational Health on behalf of a leading UK occupational health provider. Key Responsibilities – Head of Bids – Occupational Health:

As the Head of Bids – Occupational Health, you will:

  • Lead and manage the bid team, coaching and mentoring team members to optimise performance and quality

  • Develop and implement effective win strategies aligned with sales leads and growth targets

  • Oversee bid planning and workflow, ensuring resource allocation supports timely and consistent delivery

  • Ensure high-quality responses to EOIs, PQQs, and formal tenders that demonstrate real value and service benefits

  • Champion continuous improvement by integrating AI tools, case studies, and innovations into the bid process

  • Collaborate closely with clinical, operational, and commercial teams to shape compelling, client-centred proposals

  • Foster a culture of excellence, motivation, and engagement within the team

  • Ensure all outputs are on-brand, on-time, and reflective of the organisation’s standards

About You – Head of Bids – Occupational Health:

To succeed in the role of Head of Bids – Occupational Health, you’ll need:

  • Experience in the occupational health sector (essential)

  • Proven success leading a bid function or managing complex, high-value submissions

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire, mentor, and guide a growing team

  • Confidence in bid strategy development and shaping winning content

  • Excellent written communication and attention to detail

  • Strategic thinking and the ability to deliver under pressure

  • Familiarity with using AI and digital tools to enhance quality and efficiency

  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills

Location & Remote Working:

This is a home-based role for candidates based in the UK with a suitable home working environment. Occasional travel is required (approx. twice a month), including attendance at two National Conferences each year in Birmingham.

Please note:

  • This role is remote within the UK only

  • You must have the right to work and reside in the UK

  • Unfortunately, sponsorship is not available

  • Overseas remote working is not permitted

Salary & Benefits – Head of Bids – Occupational Health:

  • £70,000 – £80,000 per annum, dependent on experience
