OH Medical is currently looking for an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join our client as part of their in-house Occupational Health Team. This exciting full-time, permanent role will see you be based from home with some onsite requirements around the network within the North West


The Remit:

As the Northwest in-house Occupational Health Advisor you will be joining an established team comprised of an Occupational Health & Wellbeing Manager, Senior OHAs, Occupational Health Advisors, and Occupational Health Technicians. Plus you will have support from an OHP and Physiotherapy to deliver a first-class in-house occupational health service. Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Provide support and advice to improve employee health and wellbeing

  • Be the figurehead for the North West Network liaising with key stakeholders to obtain feedback and develop and evolve the OH services to meet business needs

  • Develop relationships with Network Managers, SHES specialists & HR Advisers

  • Support the development of Occupational Health policies, standards and procedures 

  • Attend key stakeholder meetings and events,

  • Deliver reports and presentations relating to the Occupational Health Service and your Local Network

  • Report on service delivery metrics including SLAs, KPIs and Health Data within your Network

  • Support the North West OHT with delivery of the Health Surveillance Program for your region 

  • Provide proactive health and wellbeing initiatives and promote utilisation of support services including EAP, Rehabilitation and Neurodiversity services

Skills Required

  • NMC Registered Nurse Ideally on Part 3 of Register 

  • Qualified to Degree or Diploma level in Occupational Health

  • Broad experience of Occupational Health Nursing

  • Experience in complex case management and multi-disciplinary case conferencing

  • Experience of Health Surveillance including qualification in HAVS

  • Experience Mental Health & Wellbeing Assessment 

  •  Possess excellent communication and time management skills

  • Able to work as part of a team and autonomously

  • High level of IT Literacy

  • Excellent problem-solving skills  with experience in finding workable solutions to identified occupational health issues

Salary & Benefits:

  • Circa £45,000 PA
