OH Medical is currently seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the onsite team of a Mental Healthcare Provider, in a Part-Time (2 days per week) Permanent role in Baldock.
The Role:
This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join an established multidisciplinary Mental Healthcare Team to deliver a first-class Occupational Therapy Service.
Your responsibilities include overseeing a set caseload of service users and delivering fundamental occupational therapy assessments and interventions to support their journey towards recovery. Through these assessments, you'll identify the specific needs of service users while enhancing their occupational performance. Additionally, you'll collaborate with both service users and staff to design and implement evidence-based interventions, both individually and in group settings. Using graded activities, you'll guide individuals towards meeting their therapeutic milestones."
Required Skills:
To be the successful Occupational Therapist candidate for this role, you'll be:
HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
Possess post-registration clinical expertise in various settings, engaging in both group and individual therapy sessions.
Experienced in complex mental health, providing support to vulnerable adults with diverse challenges: Including complex physical health care needs, psychiatric conditions, mild learning disabilities, neurocognitive deficits in older adults, and personality disorders.
Proficient in applying occupational therapy assessments and interventions tailored to mental health contexts.
Skilled in analysing situations and devising suitable treatment plans, with a focus on functional assessment and activity analysis.
Competent in implementing health and safety policies and effectively assessing and managing associated risks.
Demonstrated experience in collaborative multidisciplinary teamwork, with a comprehensive understanding of roles within the multidisciplinary team.
