OH Medical are recruiting a qualified Senior Occupational Health Advisor to lead a multidisciplinary in-house Occupational Health Team in a Hybrid Full Time permanent role in Sheffield.
The Remit
This full remit role will see you predominantly working from home with some days on site in Sheffield, your role will be focused on people management, policy and strategy main but will also include some hands on activity.
Developing, motivating, and engaging the team to deliver a high standard of OH practice and customer service.
Conduct PDRs, address staff development needs, support welfare and ensure adherence to health & safety procedures.
First point of escalation for clinical team and client queries.
Ensure undertaking of all relevant responsibilities involving a safe and effective clinic environment,
Support delivery of telephone consultations
Provide occupational health advice to support employees and management
Provide a concise report to management indicating an employee’s fitness to work and detailing any advisory reasonable adjustments
Liaise with the Clinical Governance Manager, Physician, Physiotherapist and Counsellors in order to provide robust Occupational Health reports that support an individual’s rehabilitation back to work
Assist the Clinical Governance Manager with policy review and improvements.
Support delivery of pre-employment and mandatory medicals
Responsible for setting up, management and delivery of health surveillance programmes
Undertake vaccination programmes and advise on infection control issues.
Sensitivity and effectively manage contamination incidents.
Demonstrate good understanding and practical application of relevant health and safety regulations and know when to escalate cases of concern.
Assist in the delivery of health promotion activities
Participate in regular peer clinical audit to generate continuous service improvements in quality.
Skill Requirements
NMC Registered Nurse
Educated to degree level (or equivalent experience).
Previous experience of leading a team, case management , health surveillance and immunisation essential.
Proven IT skills, including use of Microsoft Office.
Experience of implementing policy and procedures and involvement with future changes for a service area.
Knowledge and experience of ensuring compliance with regulatory and organisational policy and guidelines.
Ability to contribute to planning at operational level.
Experience of working in public and private sector organisations preferred
