Job Title Occupational Health Advisor - Contract

Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join our client based in Belfast. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a range of Occupational Health services to our clients' employees, including vaccinations, hearing and vision testing, spirometry, and phlebotomy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide vaccinations to employees according to company policies and health regulations.

  • Conduct hearing and vision testing and spirometry to identify potential workplace hazards and employee health issues.

  • Perform phlebotomy and other diagnostic tests as required.

  • Manage workplace hazards and promote safe working practices to prevent occupational injuries and illnesses.

  • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures in collaboration with management and the human resources team.

  • Maintain accurate records and reports of employee health status, incidents, and compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.

  • Provide health education and counselling to employees on a range of topics, including nutrition, exercise, stress management, and smoking cessation.

  • Collaborate with external healthcare providers and agencies as required to support employee health and wellbeing.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with a current license to practice.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Occupational Health Nursing.

  • Experience in administering vaccinations, conducting hearing and vision testing, spirometry, and phlebotomy.

  • Knowledge of Occupational Health regulations and best practices.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with employees, management, and external healthcare providers.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
